The Five Archetypes system is a repeatable framework for knowing what integrity actually is, recognizing the moment it slips, and returning to it, before that slip becomes a decision, a relationship, or a culture.
Every one of us carries five elemental forces: Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and Wood. Together they map how energy moves through you when you are living in integrity, and how your perception predictably narrows when you are not.
When you know your specific constitution, you know exactly which thoughts will feel most true and most virtuous, and be the very ones pulling you out of integrity without your realizing it. That is where the practice begins.
The resource we over-rely on is known as our primary Archetype, or tendency. It reveals the predictable way your mind limits your perspective under stress, restricting your access to the truth, closing down opportunities and bringing unhealthy friction into relationships.
Predictable patterns can be changed. Because these patterns are predictable, they’re also transformable. The work begins by noticing the subtle moment perception shifts, and learning how to guide yourself back.
After nearly 100,000 questionnaire results, the research reveals why integrity is harder to practice than anyone admits, and why most people never get the foundational teaching they need.
Assume others must change so they can feel comfortable
People miss the early clues of narrowing perspective
Struggle to tolerate the discomfort required for growth
Why perception is the lever for change.
When The Five Archetypes launched, many saw it as a personality system. But in the real work with couples, families, teams, and leaders worldwide, a deeper truth emerged.
People don’t struggle because of who they are. They struggle because they have never been taught what integrity actually is or how to choose it in the moment it matters most.
Your Archetype tendency shows you the first signal of that contraction. Your growth comes from learning to recognize the exact moment integrity slips, and returning to it before that slip becomes a word, a decision, or a group culture. (Read More)

“Completely [changed] the way I consider people who stress me out or rub me the wrong way or just see the world differently than I do…. [The Five Archetypes] is fascinating—and Davidson is brilliant…. Read the book, mull it over, and prepare to have your mind blown.”
“I loved this book incredibly. Understanding my underlying nature really helps me understand myself in how I need to relieve stress and relate to myself, and more importantly to my family.”
Carey Davidson is the author of The Five Archetypes and a pioneer of integrity as a conscious practice.
After more than a decade of research and work with thousands of individuals, couples, teams, and leaders worldwide, including at Microsoft, Starbucks, and Tony Robbins’ community, she developed the first repeatable framework for what integrity actually is and how to practice it, moment to moment, in every area of life.
In mid-April 2026, her work will be available to everyone through a community of practice for people who are ready to stop aspiring to integrity and start living it.
